BEREA, Ohio -- A Mishawaka, Ind., woman, 58, and her 62-year-old husband were arrested Oct. 4 after they stole two Maine coon cats from a couple at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, 164 Eastland Road.

The victim, also an Indiana resident, said she had purchased both cats from the Mishawaka woman. She paid $3,500 for one cat and $4,500 for the other.

The Mishawaka woman later told police that she never received full payment for one of the cats.

On Oct. 4, the victim and her husband took both felines to a cat show at the fairgrounds. The cats were going to be part of the show.

The victim and her husband parked their car and were rolling their cats in wheeled carriers in the fairgrounds when the Mishawaka woman and her husband attacked from behind.
