DENVER (KDVR) — After another warm and sunny day, cooler temperatures and the chance for showers will move into Denver's weather forecast.

A flood watch will start Thursday evening and continue through Sunday for parts of west and southwestern Colorado. Heavy rainfall totaling 1 to 3 inches through the weekend could lead to flooding, especially in burn scars, low-lying areas and other flood-prone areas.

Weather tonight: Mainly cloudy, mild

Thursday night will stay mainly cloudy. A few showers will continue, mainly in the high country. Temperatures will fall to the 50s, which is 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Cloudy, chance for showers

Friday, clouds will linger as showers build back into the high country and work their way toward the Front Range
