GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Women in the Packers organization gathered for the 13th Annual Ladies of Lambeau event on Thursday, supporting local children who are in foster care.

The event, kicking off at 3:30 p.m. in the Johnsonville Tailgate Village, brought key speakers and participants together to help assemble packages for 10-17-year-olds in the foster care system around the area.

The program was launched by former Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy's wife, Laurie, in 2011, as a means of getting women involved with the Packers in any way to make a difference in the community.

This year's edition was led by Christy Policy, the wife of Mark Murphy's successor, Ed Policy, as the new patriarch and matriarch of the Green and Gold follow in their footsteps.
