More than 6,000 runners will take to the streets of a Cambridgeshire city next weekend. Next Sunday (October 12), the Great Eastern run takes place in Peterborough .

The run takes place every year in the city and includes a half marathon and 5K race. The 5K race is named after Anna’s Hope charity, an organisation for children and young people diagnosed with brain tumours.

It is named in memory of Anna Hughes, who died after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in February 2005. As runners take on the route, they run past some of Peterborough’s landmarks including Peterborough Cathedral.
