WALLKILL – Alex deCastro scored three goals to lead undefeated Wallkill to a 6-0 Mid-Hudson Athletic League win over Red Hook on Thursday.

The Panthers are now 11-0 on the season and have registered eight straight shutouts. Wallkill has outscored opponents 25-0 during the shutout run and has not given up a goal since defeating Rondout Valley 6-2 on Sept. 9. deCastro now has 19 goals on the season, and goalkeeper Geovanny Hernandez has been in goal for all eight shutouts.

Wallkill’s back line of Elliott Cunningham, Ian Hudson, Nathan deCastro, and Finnian Ross has held it down on defense for Wallkill, the ninth-ranked Class AA team in the state. Wallkill next plays New Paltz on Tuesday.
