Drivers can expect delays on Interstate 24 East in Hamilton County as scheduled road work begins Thursday evening, TDOT reports. The project will take place near mile marker 181 (near the Rossville Boulevard exit), where two of the three eastbound lanes will be closed.

Officials urge motorists to use caution in the area and allow extra travel time while crews complete the work.
