A BOY who drowned in the Peel River earlier this week has been remembered by his family as a "kind-hearted person" whose dream was to become "a famous soccer player".

Eh Doh said her nephew Klo Doh Say Dream, 15, wanted to enrol in Bible college after school and become a missionary.

"He was a bright and kind-hearted person who was willing to help with anything as much as he could," Ms Doh said.

"He loved learning, reading, writing and playing games.

"Klo's favourite sport was soccer and his dream was to become a famous soccer player one day.

"He was such a lovely, sweet boy who cared for others."

The youngest of five boys, Klo had "chased after education" and been looking forward to starting at Oxley High School, Ms Doh said.
