RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Carolina Hurricanes' season opener brought fans from across the state to support the team.
"We drove at least 35 times during the regular season," said Max Whitaker.
Whitaker and his family drive from Wilmington every season to support the team.
"He's fifteen months [old], he's probably been to seven games," said Whitaker of his son.
And there's nothing like a Canes tailgate. The smell of sizzling burgers and the sound of fans' laughter fill the air.
