RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Two local collectible shops have been the targets of thieves in the last week, and they took more than just cash.

Owners of the New World Toys and Collectibles in Garner said the shop was broken into early Thursday morning, when intruders took off with the cash register and several Pokémon cards. All tallied up, the store lost about $1,200.

CBS 17 spoke to owner Mike Redin, who said the gaming and card-collecting community is rattled.

“They grabbed a bunch of things, and they were in and out within five minutes. They knew what they were coming in for, and the alarm scared them into leaving sooner,” said Redin.
