Two people suspected of possessing over $200,000 worth of Apple products from a stolen cargo truck were taken into custody in the Glendale area Thursday.
Officers responded to a “be on the lookout” call regarding a white cargo van containing a hefty amount of Apple products stolen from a cargo truck near Sparks, Nevada early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the search, using a helicopter to locate the two suspects around 3:40 p.m. as they traveled southbound on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Western Avenue in Glendale, prompting CHP officers to conduct a traffic stop and arrest the two occupants of the cargo van.
The investigation into the theft continued on Thursday.
