SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Friday and Saturday are First Alert Weather Days as tides remain elevated.
We will once again be watching the tides today, with a high tide of 10.3′ expected Friday morning around 11AM. Water would also likely be on Highway 80 if the tide reaches the projected level. If you need to get to of from Tybee Islands, I would do so by 10:30AM.
Ahead of this morning’s high tide, temperatures are cooler than yesterday with morning lows in the 60s. Spotty showers will hang out through the morning, leading to damp roads.
Breezy conditions will also continue today with gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour likely, with higher gusts along the coast. Highs will only be near 70 degrees with spotty showers continuing this afternoon through our Friday evening.
