If you're looking forward to the long Columbus Day weekend, you'd better prepare to deal with some rain.

According to the National Weather Service's long-range forecast for the weekend, some rain will fall every day.

Your best bet for some dry time is Oct. 11, as the rain does not arrive until the evening.

The day starts off on a positive note, with mostly sunny skies in Ulster County and partly sunny skies in Orange, Dutchess and Sullivan counties. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s in Dutchess and Ulster counties, the mid-60s in Orange County and the low 60s in Sullivan County.

The night will be mostly cloudy, with lows in the upper 40s in Orange, Ulster and Dutchess counties, and the mid-40s in Sullivan County.
