NEW ORLEANS — A 60-year-old man died in an apparent carjacking that ended with a , New Orleans police said.
According to a police report, the incident happened Thursday, October 9, at about 8:37 p.m. at the intersection of Bienville and Burgundy streets.
Police said the victim was involved in a struggle with the carjacker when his vehicle rolled over, pinning him underneath. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Neighbors in the area tell WWL's Kyron Neveaux that the victim was an Uber Driver.
Detectives have classified the case as a homicide and are continuing to investigate. Few details are available.
