NEW ORLEANS — The Uber driver killed in Thursday night’s has been identified by his family as Miguel “Nation” Stemley, 60, of Boutte, Louisiana.
His wife, Lisa Stemley, confirms that Miguel was driving for Uber when the crash happened.
Data from the ride shows Miguel started the drive near Dante Street and was supposed to drop the passenger(s) off on Burgundy. The app shows the ride was still in progress at the time of the crash.
Miguel leaves behind children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Lisa described him as a "family man" who would do anything to provide for his loved ones.
