DANDRIDGE, Tenn. — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said they arrested a Dandridge man on a human trafficking charge out of Georgia on Monday.
JCSO said investigators were notified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation about an active warrant for Vaughn Dewayne Scarbrough, 54, out of Whitfield County, Georgia for criminal attempt, human trafficking.
JCSO said deputies contacted Scarbrough at his home in Meadow Circle and took him into custody. According to the sheriff's office, deputies found a baggy of what appeared to be meth on Scarbrough.
Scarbrough is currently in the Jefferson County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Whitfield County, Georgia.
