Police have pictured a Coventry mum who 'callously' killed a man whose family say brought everyone 'incredible joy.' Laura Shanley murdered Alfred James Corbett in Foleshill .
Shanley stabbed Alfred, who was known as Jamie, to death with a large knife after an argument at his home on Edmund Road. She had been 'extremely intoxicated' when the incident happened.
Police were called in the early hours of September 17 last year after Mr Corbett was found badly injured. He had been stabbed in the chest and suffered an 11cm wound, a jury heard.
Girlfriend Shanley was arrested and repeatedly denied killing Mr Corbett. But the 36-year-old was found guilty of murder at Warwick Crown Court on October 1.
Relatives told the jury that Mr Corbett had been 'manipulated and coercively controlled'
