Idutifully carried my camera around all fall with plans of getting spectacular photos of the autumn colors for this edition of my column. However, timing and weather did not come together this fall.
I was too early for fall colors during my August trip to the North Slope and Denali Park and too late during my late September trip to the slope when the ground was covered in snow. Rain and cloudy conditions were the norm during my fall trips to the Denali Highway and Minto Flats, which seemed to have muted the colors.
Despite the lack of shots of brightly colored foliage, mother nature didn’t disappoint, and I was ready when presented with other photo opportunities. Here is my collection of autumn 2025 images.
