WESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — A Lewis County man has been charged with felony malicious assault following a domestic incident, according to a criminal complaint.

Travis Nicholson, 47, was taken into custody after a complaint was received at approximately 2:30 p.m. Thursday regarding an alleged assault on October 8 involving Nicholson and his girlfriend.

During the interview, the girlfriend stated that Nicholson had come home from work and she believed he had been drinking.

The woman stated that Nicholson seemed OK and went to her brother's trailer next door. Nicholson then came back to the residence and began harassing and taunting the woman with degrading comments, according to the report.
