MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — Everyone’s favorite Scottish nanny is headed to Morgantown next week when the national tour of “Mrs. Doubtfire” arrives at West Virginia University’s Canady Creative Arts Center. The hit musical comedy, based on the beloved 1993 film, will take the stage in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m.
Presented by the WVU College of Creative Arts and Media as part of the University Arts Series, the show brings to life the story of out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard, who goes to extraordinary lengths to stay connected with his children after a messy divorce. By disguising himself as Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire, Hillard discovers more than just a way back into his kids’ lives, he learns what it truly means to be a father.
