Michigan’s football team heads to USC on Saturday for what could be the swing game of its season.
It’s still early in the 2025 campaign, but Saturday’s result will have massive playoff implications. The 15th-ranked Wolverines (4-1) lost on the road to a ranked Oklahoma team in Week 2 but are 2-0 in Big Ten play. USC also is 4-1 but has less margin for error with a conference loss to Illinois already on its resume.
With matchups against Washington, Michigan State, Purdue, Northwestern and Maryland for Michigan following this week’s showdown against USC, there’s a chance it could enter the regular-season finale against Ohio State with a lot more than just bragging rights on the line.
