NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The three Capybara pups introduced to the world back in July, now have names.

The two-and-a-half month old pups were born to mom "Turkey" and dad "Sequoia" and have been living behind the scenes in at Audubon Zoo.

Zoo officials said their names are suitable for their hometown: Charlotte, Louis, and Tiana. The names were inspired by Disney's "The Princess and the Frog," a movie set in New Orleans in the 1920s.

As the pups grow, the handlers said the names are reflective of their personalities. • Charlotte — the outgoing leader of the sibling group • Tiana — a little shy, but becoming more confident all the time • Louis — a bit of a mama’s boy and happily follows along with his sisters
