A business has been hired to dispose of items collected during the city of Apache Junction’s next four household hazardous waste events.

The Apache Junction City Council voted unanimously Oct. 7 on a consent agenda with other items to approve a professional services agreement with Advanced Chemical Transport LLC in an amount not to exceed $200,000. The business is to assist with disposal of certain hazardous materials during the city’s household hazardous waste events in fiscal years 2025-26 and 2026-27.

The free events are open for city and Pinal County residents just east of the city boundaries, including Gold Canyon.
