GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -- The first case of avian influenza in a commercial flock has been reported in Grant County.

According to Grant County Public Health, bird flu was detected in a commercial poultry flock. Workers at the facility are being monitored as a precaution for signs of illness.

GCPH says this is the first domestic bird outbreak in Grant County, but more than 100 wild birds have tested positive since 2022.
