Britain is to play a leading role in the reconstruction of Gaza and restarting the flow of aid to Palestinians in the war-torn territory, with plans to be announced within the next few days, The i Paper has learned.

The UK government is expected to facilitate talks between Palestinians and private finance firms to discuss the funding of rebuilding cities and towns in Gaza that have been reduced to rubble from two years of war.
