The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) has issued a notice stating that, with review of evidence obtained during the investigation and presented to the Crown, a collective decision was made to upgrade the charges against the accused. The charges against the co-accused have also been adjusted.
The accused, 32-year-old Joshua Thomas-Rowley, of North Bay, has now been charged with the following offences: S econd Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Meanwhile, t he co-accused, 31-year-old Corrie-Ann Sale, also of North Bay, has also been charged with the following offences: Manslaughter.
The duo was arrested by North Bay Police in a report to the media Wednesday after a 9-month long investigation.
