Red Deer RCMP have laid charges against a male, following a series of robberies on October 3.

Police first received a 911 call at approximately 4:53 p.m. from a gas station employee in the Deer Park neighbourhood, reporting a lone male had entered the gas station, walked behind the cash register and grabbed all the paper money before departing.

Police responded immediately, obtaining a description of the suspect.

Minutes later, at approximately 4:58 p.m., police received a second 911 call from another gas station, this time in the Eastview area, reporting a similar occurrence.

The victim provided a description of the suspect.

During both of these incidents, the suspect entered the business, walked behind the counter and took money without saying anything, and no violence was reported.
