Eggs, hailed as a complete and nutrient-rich food, emerged as the star of the day during Odisha’s state-level observance of World Egg Day. Described as the cheapest source of animal protein, eggs serve as a cornerstone for children’s health and rural economic growth, according to Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallik.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event held at the Local Services Bhawan Convention Centre, organised by the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department, Minister Mallik emphasised Odisha’s growing prowess in egg production. “Odisha will become the power centre for egg production,” he declared, underscoring the state’s commitment to boosting output and achieving self-sufficiency.
