HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Banana Ball is coming to Connecticut next year!
In a social media post Friday, the Harford Yard Goats announced they'll host the fun-loving baseball league for three nights next July.
Banana Ball soared to popularity through the Savannah Bananas- a baseball team which gained national recognition as an independent group unafraid of breaking into dance and other antics to entertain fans.
The Party Animals will take on the newest Banana Ball team the Indianapolis Clowns July 23 through July 25.
On the field could be one of Connecticut's own- East Haven native Mark Smith, who joined the Party Animals' roster this year.
Smith formerly played for Sacred Heart University and Salem State University. He also played at Avon Old Farms, a private boarding and day school i
