The replacement for Horace Mann Elementary is set to open for the 2028-29 school year.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Fargo Public Schools are asking the public for suggestions on what to name the newest elementary school in the district.

The facility is scheduled to open before the 2028-29 school year. It will bring together students from the Horace Mann-Roosevelt and Madison Elementary School attendance areas. Its new name will be selected from the proposals by the Fargo Board of Education.

The submission window is open now through 4 P.M. on October 24.

Once the submission window has closed, each member of the School Board will individually select their five favorite proposed names. At the November 12 School Board Meeting, the members will narrow those options to an agreed-upon Top 5. The Boar
