BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - North Dakota’s manufacturing community took time Thursday to celebrate the people who keep the state’s economy running from factory floors to design shops during a luncheon hosted by Impact Dakota and the Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) in Bismarck.

The event was part of Manufacturing Month, a statewide effort to highlight the thousands of workers and businesses that make things right here in North Dakota.

Organizers said the goal was to shine a light on an industry that touches nearly every part of the state and provides solid, good-paying jobs that keep families rooted in local communities.
