PEARL RIVER – Beginning Sunday, a significant nor’easter will enter the region, resulting in strong wind gusts and significant rainfall amounts. As a result, Orange and Rockland Utilities will be mobilizing its emergency response workforce to respond to any outages that may occur over the holiday weekend.

This storm, which is expected to impact the entire Hudson Valley through Monday afternoon, will bring wind gusts of up to 45 m.p.h., rain accumulations of up to two inches and the potential for coastal flooding in some areas. These factors, which could also result in down trees and tree limbs, all could interfere with the safe, reliable delivery of electric service, O&R says.
