WALKER COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Walker County Grand Jury Friday indicted Chief Deputy Ralph Williams on a single misdemeanor count for giving false or misleading information to the state regarding a now-former employee of the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.

The new indictment charges Williams with the same count as the previous indictment that came down in May, however it goes into greater detail. WBRC expects the state will ask the court to dismiss the prior indictment.

The charge accuses Williams of giving false information to the Alabama Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, or APOSTC, regarding Andrew Neves-McDonald, a now-former employee of the Walker County Sheriff’s Office.
