Savannah Police (SPD) have arrested 18-year-old Messiah Holmes for an Oct. 9 shooting incident that left an individual with a gunshot wound in their foot.

Around 2 p.m. on Sept. 27, SPD officers responded to a shooting on Darling Street in the Woodville/Bartow neighborhood in west Savannah. There, officers found and transported a victim to Memorial Health University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

With the help of the U.S. Marshals, Holmes was apprehended.

Holmes was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm in committing a crime, and possession of marijuana.
