SHOW LOW, Ariz. — A police officer in northern Arizona has been placed on administrative leave after they allegedly shoplifted while on-duty.

The White Mountain Apache Police Department said one of its officers was arrested by Show Low police for an allegation of shoplifting. The incident was reported on Oct. 6.

The officer is facing charges for the on-duty incident.

"The alleged behavior is a serious matter and does not reflect the values of this department. We are committed to a full and transparent process," the police department wrote in a statement.
