ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Gwinnett County police are seeking information about a deadly hit-and-run.

Police said a pedestrian was hit on Athens Highway between Cooper Road and Rosebud Road around 10:50 p.m. Monday.

The person was dead when first responders arrived.

Police said they found the vehicle that hit the person and charged the driver with leaving the scene.

Investigators, though, believe several other vehicles may have hit the victim while they were lying in the road after the fatal collision.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or who was in the area between 10:50 p.m. and 11:05 p.m. Monday to come forward.
