On Friday at 3:45 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a coastal flood warning valid from Sunday 2 p.m. until Monday 8 p.m. for the Bronx and Queens as well as Suffolk and Nassau counties.

The weather service adds to prepare for, "1 1/2 to 2 1/2 feet of inundation above ground level is likely in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline for the Sunday afternoon, Sunday Night and possibly the Monday afternoon high tide cycles."

The weather service states, "Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth."
