LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Packages from across the world experienced a massive change at the end of August. That’s when the U.S. ended a tariff exemption for packages worth less than $800.
Now, all packages must clear customs.
One customer contacted the WAVE news Troubleshooter, trying to get a clear answer from UPS.
Sloan Dickey ordered a $3,000 glass set from Sweden in mid-September.
The company shipped it through UPS. The package arrived in Louisville on Sept. 19.
Now Dickey’s not sure if his package has been thrown in the trash.
“The company that I’m working with now says that they’re never using UPS ever again for their products,” said Dickey.
He is at his wits’ end. His $3,000 Swedish glassware set has been stuck at UPS Worldport, waiting to clear customs before moving on to Di
