LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A new JCPS program will help sophomore and junior students get hands-on experience in sports administration.
It’s called the “Junior Athletic Director Program.” It officially launched Friday with a reveal at Central High School.
The program was designed for 10th and 11th grade students to sharpen their leadership, professionalism and academic achievement skills.
The program is open for students at six high schools, including Central, Fairdale, PRP, Ballard, Fern Creek and Western, with plans to expand across the district.
Students will get certifications in CPR, first aid and sports safety.
