LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo ISD supports breast cancer survivors through an annual event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For more than 15 years, LISD has organized a Pink Walk to honor individuals who are fighting breast cancer. Additionally, the event is led by Employees who are either survivors of breast cancer or currently battling the illness.

One of those survivors is Cristina Guerrero, who is the Secretary of the LISD Police Department. She stated, “It’s hope, it’s an inspiration and it’s motivation. It feels good that our coworkers are out here motivating us; it’s a little pump for everybody to get through this.”
