BANGOR -- For those participating in Speedway 95s Paul Bunyan SpeedWeekend, they should know they're money is going towards a good cause.

According to track promoter Chuck Hall, all of the racers entry fees this weekend is going towards the Maine Veterans' Homes. He says the money is going specifically to the organizations rec fund.

"They're our veterans. They fought for our country, they took bullets for our country, they died for our country," said Hall. "There's some of these guys and gals that don't have clothes. If I can help one veteran for one day it's worth it. They need our support."

One of this weekends races is in memory of Ikey Dorr, a driver who died of a heart attack at the Bangor track 15 years ago.
