DYERSBURG, Tenn. - Oh deer! Dyersburg Police had to deal with an "unusual burglar" on Wednesday.
Four DPD officers--Officer Davidson, Officer Woodall, Officer Greer, and FTO Riley--responded to a call of a burglary in progress on Blake Cove.
The officers arrived to find the front glass door shattered and open, but stagnant. Officer Davidson took charge and entered the house, caught the furry offender like he was seeing headlights, wrapped him in a blanket, and mounted him against his body as he carried it out of the house.
Officers fawned over the young deer before trying to get him to leave the property; after three attempts, Davidson had to take the deer to the woods before he hoofed it.
"You never know what you are going to face on duty," Davidson said. The deer received minor cuts
