WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Waco police officer found an unsecured gun, about 6 grams of methamphetamine, $3,500 in cash and a ledger with names and dollar amounts after a convicted felon was pulled over for driving a vehicle with expired registration, an arrest warrant states.

Ed Linville, 65, was arrested on Oct. 10 and booked into the McLennan County Jail on charges of unlawful carrying of a weapon by a felon, resisting arrest, possession and delivery of a controlled substance, and parole violation.

Police said Linville was driving an SUV with expired registration and no liability insurance on N. 27th Street when he was pulled over by an officer.

The officer found the unsecured handgun inside the SUV in the floorboard on the passenger’s side, according to the arrest warrant.
