PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a shooting that left a man in west Phoenix dead.

Phoenix police investigating after man found unresponsive in April dies, ruled homicide

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting near 43rd Avenue and McDowell Road around 5:22 p.m. on Thursday.

When police arrived on scene, they reportedly found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Police said the man was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injures that he later died from.
