PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in an alleged domestic incident in south Phoenix on Friday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to an apartment near 32nd Street and Southern Avenue for reports of a threat around 11:25 p.m.
When police arrived on the scene, a woman was reportedly outside with her two children.
The woman told officers that she had shot her ex-boyfriend and he was still inside the apartment, police said.
Officers entered the apartment and found the man was unresponsive with a gunshot wound, according to Phoenix police.
The Phoenix Fire Department took the man to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
