FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Natives Fly Fishing and Outfitter in Fairmont is hosting Fly Fest this weekend in celebration of the store’s one-year anniversary.

The celebration will feature food trucks, fly tying demos as well as live music. Natives said that it hopes to host more Fly Fests in the future, and that for the store, it has big plans for this coming year, including distributing their in-house-made fishing nets to broader markets.

“We are going to start getting our nets throughout the U.S.,” Owner of Natives Fly Fishing and Outfitter, Beau Robinson, said. “We manufacture our own fishing net here that we have a patent on.”

Fairmont is not known for its fly fishing, but Robinson said that the region does have warm water fish such as smallmouths and muskies.
