Now at least the rest of the Buffalo Sabres’ season can continue after The Curse of the Blue Carpet got them again.

They’ll be at TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, trying to mimic the task several NHL teams have endured this week – bouncing back from a home stinker on Opening Night.

Thursday’s 4-0 loss to the New York Rangers was hardly a putrid performance. It was still 1-0 with six minutes left before the Blueshirts broke things open. The Sabres had a 37-33 advantage in shots on goal after the visitors came out blazing to work an 11-2 advantage in their favor midway through the first period.
