WELSH, La. (KPLC) - The excitement was hard to miss at Welsh High School, as students from across Jeff Davis Parish came together not just to compete, but to celebrate ability, teamwork, and school spirit.

It was all smiles and high fives at the Jeff Davis Special Olympics Field Day, where students took part in events like bocce ball, volleyball, soccer, and football; all designed to promote fun, fitness, and friendship.

For organizers, it’s less about competition and more about connection and confidence.
