Brandyn Wilcoxen is a multiplatform journalist for The Southern Illinoisan, covering a wide range of stories across Southern Illinois.

A second-generation newspaperman, Brandyn was born in Indiana but moved to Mount Vernon when he was 5 years old. He grew up watching his dad work in newsrooms and at high school games.
