TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash near Tanque Verde and Wilmot in Tucson late Friday, Oct. 10.

The Tucson Police Department confirmed the man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The TPD said he may have been speeding before the accident, but that the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released on Saturday.

It was the second motorcycle crash on Friday, and the 15th serious crash 13 News has covered this month. In those accidents, 10 people have been killed.

On Oct. 1, 52-year-old Jorge Alberto Mejia was hit and killed while walking in the 1100 block of South 6th Avenue . The TPD said the driver who hit Mejia fled the scene.
