'Organisations like RSS could only take shape in Nagpur':Mohan Bhagwat highlights city’s spirit of sacrifice, social commitment; emphasises aim of cultivating sense of service, social responsibility

Mohan Bhagwat attended an event of the Maharaja of Nagpur Trust in Nagpur on Friday.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, "Many people in the country used to take pride in Hindutva and spoke of Hindu unity, but an organisation like the RSS could only have been established in Nagpur. Here, there was already a spirit of sacrifice and social service."

He added that the RSS recently completed 100 years on Dussehra. It was founded in 1925 in Nagpur by Dr. Hedgewar. The organisation's aim was to instil discipline, service, cultural awareness, and a sense of social responsibility in society.
